How relationship pricing works

Rather than pricing each account separately, we aggregate every related household balance — deposits, investments and trust assets — into a single tier. That tier determines the money-market yield, whether monthly maintenance is waived, how many wires are included, and the foreign-exchange spread. As balances grow or seasonally decline, the tier is reviewed monthly so the relationship continues to reflect its real size.

A household with $2.5 million spread across a checking account, a money market and a trust deposit therefore receives the Relationship tier on every eligible account, not only on the account holding the largest balance.

Questions

Common questions

+What relationship size do you typically work with?

Private banking relationships generally begin at $1,000,000 in combined deposits, investments and trust assets. Households below that level are welcomed where a clear path to that threshold exists, for example a pending liquidity event.

+Is my deposit protected?

Deposit accounts held at the bank are eligible for federal deposit insurance up to the applicable limits per depositor, per ownership category. Balances above those limits can be spread across ownership categories or placed through reciprocal deposit networks so that the full balance remains insured.

+How quickly can a wire be released?

Domestic wires instructed and verified before 3:00 pm ET are released the same business day. Cross-border payments in major currencies are typically value-dated one to two business days forward depending on the corridor and cut-off.

+Can several family entities be seen in one place?

Yes. Individual, joint, entity and trust accounts can be grouped into one relationship view with consolidated statements, while permissions still control who sees which account.

+How is the money market rate set?

Rates track the relationship tier assigned to the household, not each individual account. The tier is reviewed monthly based on combined deposits, investments and trust assets, and any change is applied to all eligible balances from the first day of the following statement cycle.

+Can I hold foreign currency?

Yes. USD, GBP and EUR deposit accounts are available, and foreign-exchange conversions can be executed by telephone or instruction with settlement into the chosen currency account. Multi-currency statements show converted and unconverted balances.
